Frequently asked questions

What patients most often ask us before making up their mind.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the procedure and on the hospital. For an equivalent protocol, our partner hospitals charge 60 to 80% less than European facilities. A costed quote is issued before you travel, once the hospital doctors have reviewed your file: that quote is the reference.

How quickly will I get a reply?

Your request is acknowledged within 48 working hours. The medical opinion and costed quote then take a few days, while the partner hospital doctors review your reports and put forward a treatment protocol.

Which documents do I need?

To review your file: your medical reports, imaging and recent test results, sent through our secure form. For the visa: a passport valid for at least six months, the invitation letter issued by the hospital and proof of financial coverage.

Can I choose the hospital or the surgeon?

Yes. The request form lets you name a preferred hospital, and the partner hospitals page sets out each one’s specialties, accreditations and facilities. If your condition is better suited to another hospital in the network, we will tell you and explain why.

Is French spoken in the partner hospitals?

Yes. A French-speaking interpreter accompanies you to medical appointments, and the partner hospitals have a dedicated international patients desk. You can also speak with the doctor before booking your flight.

How long does the medical visa last?

Its validity is set by the consulate, based on the treatment protocol planned by the hospital. As for timing, allow around three weeks between submitting the application and the intended date of the procedure: our administrative team checks every document beforehand, which avoids back-and-forth with the consulate.

Can I travel with a companion?

Yes. A companion can obtain a "medical attendant" visa linked to your file; a maximum of two companions is generally accepted. We also arrange their accommodation, as close to the hospital as possible.

How long will I need to stay in India?

That depends on the procedure and on recovery. The protocol issued with your quote states the length of the hospital stay and the convalescence period to allow for locally before the return flight can be booked, so that you can plan your time away.

Who meets me at the airport?

Someone from our network waits for you on arrival, whatever time your flight lands, and handles the transfer to the hospital or to your accommodation. A French-speaking interpreter accompanies you to the first medical appointments.

Where will I stay during the trip?

We book accommodation right next to the hospital, for you and for your companion, to keep travel between appointments to a minimum. The options and comfort level are put to you together with the quote.

What happens once I am back home?

Remote post-operative follow-up continues once you are home, in coordination with your own doctor. The hospital reports are passed on so that they have the complete file and can take over.

How do I pay?

The quote issued before departure details all costs, with nothing added afterwards. Payment terms — instalments, accepted methods and currency — depend on the hospital and are provided with that quote. Our team remains available to go through them before you commit to anything.

Is my medical data protected?

The information and documents you send are strictly confidential and are shared only with the medical teams handling your file. They are used for no other purpose, commercial or promotional.

Can I order medicines without travelling?

Yes, and it is separate from a medical trip. The pharmaceutical catalogue is available on the site, with the composition, laboratory and packaging of each product; a supply request is made straight from the product page.
