Cardiac screening mission in Douala
Three partner cardiologists carried out 240 free consultations over four days, with immediate referral of urgent cases.
From 8 to 11 April, three cardiologists from our partner hospitals travelled to Douala for a free screening mission.
240 people were examined: electrocardiogram, cardiac ultrasound and blood-pressure assessment. Eighteen cases were referred for surgical treatment, four of them semi-urgent.
This format will be repeated twice a year. Dates for the next mission will be announced on this page.
